How do you tell the history of a place which has been home to numerous communities with diverse interests? The Restore/Restory project brings together scholars, students, artists, and residents to produce a people’s history website and site-based audio tour of the Cache Creek Nature Preserve in rural Yolo County, California. In doing so, the project brings California’s history to life in new and innovative ways and sparks conversations critical to helping communities create a more sustainable and inclusive relationship between people and place.
